I grew up on Windows, using Linux, Unix and OSX intermittently as required. I’m currently “learning” OSX in depth after acquiring a MBP16.
I think the choice between these depend more on the environment you need to develop FOR than anything else.
Ask again when I’ve mastered either of those. I’m currently learning EMACS and have some understanding of VI, but nothing of significance. Pick one.
I haven’t worked on a Java based application in a production environment in nearly a decade so my knowledge is outdated. But, getting an application to “play nice” with different versions of JRE was a nightmare back then!
Because I’m tired of writing it. None of these answers should matter to you because none of the questions have sufficient context to make a real recommendation between different things.
